  • MAY, 2010 - Prime Beer just announced as winner of bronze medal at Australian International Beer Awards 2010

Review in Newcastle Herald, April 2010: Beer reviewer Greg Ray provides Fusion Brewing quite a complement, "...with some impressive awards under their belt and with their beer on the menu at a lot of good restaurants, they are doing very well". Despite his love for Firefly and trying Prime with sausages rather than a steak he's impressed and comments "this beer is good enough to stand alone". Read in PDF HERE

Prime's Taste

Prime is a deep amber ale beer with complex malty flavours and strong bitterness designed to enhance the flavours of seared red meat from the grill.

Whether paired with beef, lamb or even gamier meats such as venison and kangaroo, Prime Beer has been tested and proven the perfect companion.

No other beer has been crafted from the start to be the perfect complement to red meat.

Our Inspiration

Prime Beer® is the third creation by Fusion Brewing. Following the creation of beer varieties to match seafood and spicy foods we decided it was time that a true complement to red meat was created.

Other beer products claim to go well with meat however none were created from the start specifically for this purpose. We again enlisted the assistance of both a 'Chef's Hat' awarded chef and famed national food writer in Matthew Evans, and also one of Australia's most awarded master-brewers in Brian Watson.

After countless taste variations and consumer testing across 6 months, Prime Beer was born.

Prime Beer is now available - keep an eye on the locations page to find it.
